About ME

My name is Nancy Intapura and I am the sole calligrapher and designer for Intap Calligraphy.

After a few years of dabbling in calligraphy, I made my professional debut thanks to some very good friends who allowed me to be apart of their weddings and special events. Seeing it all come together, I knew I had found my calling.

Ever since I was a kid, I've always had a love of planning events. Sleepovers and birthdays were my specialty! And more recently, I've added charity and networking events to my repertoire. No matter the occasion, it was always rewarding watching the details come to life. On top of that, I've always had an obsession with fonts and typography (as a kid, I used to rewrite books to practice my own handwriting and create different layouts for "Nancy's Newspaper"!). And if I couldn't get any nerdier, I've always carried around multiple planners/notebooks because paper products and writing out lists are my jam.

Calligraphy is the perfect way to blend and utilize my personal interests and still contribute to special moments and occasions for others.

With a background in client services, I love getting to know my clients and creating a personalized experience. I am convinced it leads to better communication, which is crucial to working together! I know that no two occasions are the same and I want to help make each event/gift as special as you do. Through personalized consultation, I'm here to add a unique touch to your special occasions, and make sure it happens in a way that complements your style and vision.

My personal style of calligraphy is modern, pointed pen. I am a big believer in less is more and strive for simplistic, tasteful, yet memorable designs.

I, myself, am planning my wedding and cannot wait to get into the details of the invitations.

My fiancé and I have an adorable small black lab mix named Charlie. And to confuse people even more, she's a girl. What can we say? We didn't love any "girl" names.

I'm a Chicago girl through-and-through: the sports, the beer, the food, the people, and of course, the lake.

My parents are both Thai and I could not be more proud of my heritage.

Salty >> Sweet any day! That being said, I have a love for baking and decorating baked goods so my fiancé is well fed in that department.

I have one older brother who owns a restaurant on the Northside of Chicago: Bites Kitchen. If you're in town, you must go! We love it.

Cheese fries are my favorite and Portillo's has the best.
